About the Role As a Commercial Leading Hand , you''ll be a key player in our diverse range of ongoing and upcoming projects across South Australia. We''re looking for our next future supervisor someone who brings their A-game, capable of handling complex projects, critical maintenance, precise minor demolition, and essential general labour support. What You Will Do Manage and integrate subcontractors, building strong relationships with clients, project teams, and suppliers. Implement and enforce rigorous safety protocols , including preparing documentation and conducting regular safety meetings. Interpret project documentation (drawings, specifications, contracts) to guide the team, ensure quality, and maintain compliance. Proactively identify and resolve site issues , manage defect rectification, and maintain accurate daily records. Lead and support the onsite team , fostering a collaborative, safety-conscious environment through continuous communication and performance review. What You Will Bring Minimum 5 years of proven experience in carpentry or a similar trade, including demolition and general site work. Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively , with unwavering attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety. Exceptional communication skills for effective interaction with all stakeholders. Valid Construction White Card and current Australian Driver''s Licence , plus the ability to pass drug/alcohol and fit-for-work assessments. Ownership of standard trade tools (specialty tools provided). Australian Citizenship (eligible for DCSI/Defence clearances). What Will Set You Apart Advanced experience in general building and demolition, with a proven track record on larger-scale, complex construction projects.
