We are looking for a selfmotivated and driven individual to lead and direct all aspects of information and communication technology across Emmanuel College and Josiah College. The candidate requires relevant tertiary qualifications, demonstrated experience in a similar role and a Working with Children Check (Blue Card). This is a permanent, fulltime role with an expected commencement of Term 2, 2026. Selection Criteria Christian Mission Alignment & Values: Demonstrated commitment to the Christian mission and values of Emmanuel College and Josiah College, with the ability to lead with integrity, humility, and stewardship in a faithcentred school community. Strategic ICT Leadership: Proven ability to set direction for ICT in line with school priorities, including identifying new opportunities while managing risk, cost and longterm sustainability. Operational ICT Leadership & Service Delivery: Demonstrated capability to lead dependable ICT services across infrastructure, cloud, devices, classroom AV and core systems, ensuring strong performance and timely support for staff and students. Cybersecurity, Information Security & Risk Management: Strong capability in cybersecurity and information security leadership, including policy development, risk management, privacy compliance, and effective response to incidents in a school environment. Data, Analytics & Value Creation: Proven ability to work with specialist analytics expertise to provide trusted data, clear insights and useful reporting that supports better decisions across learning, wellbeing and operations. People Leadership & Team Development: Demonstrated success leading and developing a multidisciplinary ICT team, including setting expectations, managing performance, building skills and maintaining a professional, serviceoriented team environment. Budget, Governance & Project Delivery: Proven experience managing significant ICT budgets, procurement and vendors, and delivering technology projects on time, within budget and with results that improve the way the Colleges operate. Position Purpose And Overview The Director of ICT leads and directs all aspects of information and communication technology across Emmanuel College and Josiah College, to support and advance the schools mission of delivering high-quality, Christcentred independent education. The role is responsible for shaping and implementing a forwardlooking ICT strategy that enables teaching, learning, administration, student services, and cocurricular programs now and into the future. The role combines strategic leadership, operational management, handson technical competence, budget oversight, and a strong commitment to service, data security, and community values. Occupational Requirements & Qualifications Bachelors degree in information technology, computer science, information systems, or equivalent. Postgraduate qualifications or significant senior experience in a similar role is highly regarded. Proven experience (ideally 5+ years) in leading an ICT team and managing ICT operations, preferably in an education environment. Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card) or eligibility to obtain one. Possess a high level of integrity and ethical judgement, with a commitment to confidentiality and responsible decisionmaking. Strong leadership and peoplemanagement skills: ability to lead, mentor, motivate, and develop a team; manage performance and build capacity. Be an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills: able to liaise effectively with senior leadership, teaching staff, nonteaching staff, students, parents, external vendors, and service providers. Be a strategic thinker with the ability to plan ahead, anticipate future needs, and propose innovative and sustainable ICT solutions that support educational and operational goals. Be handson, practical and adaptable willing to get hands dirty when needed: troubleshooting, supporting daytoday technical issues, deploying or configuring systems, engaging directly in technical work when required. Be serviceoriented, customerfocused, and solutionsdriven: committed to delivering highquality support and services in a school community context. Be proactive and selfmotivated, able to work independently, anticipate needs, and drive continuous improvement. Be adaptable and open to change, with the ability to respond positively to evolving legislation, systems, and school needs.
