The Role Set along the stunning coastline of South Australias Eyre Peninsula, Discovery Parks Streaky Bay is a welcoming holiday destination offering a mix of cabins and caravan sites for travelling guests, families and longstay visitors. The park features 34 cabins, 73 powered sites and 24 unpowered sites, operating as a friendly, communityfocused park with exciting future development opportunities planned. As Assistant Park Manager, youll play a vital handson role supporting daily operations and stepping in as ManagerinCharge when required. This is a livein position suited to someone who enjoys variety, guest interaction and being actively involved across all areas of park operations. From customer service and team leadership to grounds, housekeeping and compliance, youll help ensure the park runs smoothly and guests enjoy a memorable stay. Why Join Us? Livein role with onsite accommodation included Competitive Assistant Manager salary + Super Opportunity to grow with Discovery Parks ahead of future park developments Varied, handson role with no two days the same Work in a beautiful coastal location with a closeknit team What Youll Be Doing Support daily park operations and administrative tasks Act in charge of the park during the Park Managers absence Deliver friendly, professional guest service and handle guest enquiries and issues Lead and support staff, fostering a positive team environment Assist with grounds, maintenance and housekeeping tasks as required Uphold safety, compliance and organisational standards Participate in kids activities and occasional evening/night activities Manage afterhours phone duties as rostered Help ensure smooth operations across weekends and peak periods What Youll Need Experience in hospitality, tourism, parks or accommodation (leadership experience highly regarded) Strong customer service and communication skills A handson, proactive and solutionsfocused approach Ability to work weekends and a rotating 5 days on / 2 days off roster Willingness to live onsite and take afterhours calls part of the week Comfortable working across operational, administrative and practical tasks A valid drivers licence Before receiving a job offer, candidates must consent to a Federal Police Clearance. Additionally, a valid Working with Children''s Check specific to the state is required. This role may require heavy lifting (up to 20kg), kneeling, squatting, and working with chemicals and machinery.
