About The Role BDO is seeking an Azure DevOps / Automation Engineer to accelerate secure, reliable and repeatable delivery across our cloud platforms and applications. Sitting within the Cloud Engineering team, this role focuses on CI/CD pipeline engineering, InfrastructureasCode (IaC), release automation and developer enablementhelping teams deliver at scale with confidence. Youll work closely with Platform, Network and SRE Engineers, Cloud Run teams and Service Lines to build reusable pipelines, automation frameworks and guardrails that uplift engineering maturity, reduce Shadow IT and embed DevSecOps practices into everyday delivery. About The Team The Cloud Engineering team is part of BDOs Shared Services Technology function and is responsible for building enterprisegrade cloud platforms and delivery foundations. The team champions automationfirst thinking, strong governance and continuous improvement, enabling consistent, highquality outcomes across the firm. Key Responsibilities Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions n Develop reusable IaC modules and pipeline templates using Bicep and/or Terraform n Standardise branching strategies, environments, approvals and release processes n Embed DevSecOps controls including policyascode, security scanning and secrets management n Enable containerised and cloudnative delivery across Azure platforms n Integrate observability, health checks and automated rollbacks into deployment pipelines n Partner with SRE, Platform and Network Engineers to improve reliability and operability n Produce reference implementations, documentation and onboarding guides Qualifications, Experience And Skills Tertiary qualification in IT, Computer Science or equivalent industry experience n Proven experience building CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions n Strong handson experience with IaC (Bicep/Terraform) and automation n Experience embedding DevSecOps and governance into delivery pipelines n Familiarity with Azure platforms, containerisation and observability tooling n Azure DevOps and cloud certifications (AZ400, AZ104) desirable n across diverse industry sectors and services.
