What Youll Do (Onthejob Training Provided) Provide direct psychological assessment, intervention, and therapeutic services or programs to community-based offenders. Provide expert consultation to staff on offender mental health and criminogenic risk assessment, including sexual and violent offending. Maintain accurate documentation in Offenders Integrated Management System (OIMS) and in electronic case files. Prepare reports and provide advice to statutory authorities such as the State Parole Authority, Serious Offenders Review Council, and Mental Health Review Tribunal, as required. Work collaboratively to support behaviour change, risk reduction, and promote community safety. What Were Looking For A motivated psychologist committed to delivering ethical and effective services to clients engaged with Community Corrections. Experience or strong interest in offender assessment, including criminogenic risk assessment and management (including for sexual and violent offences). Knowledge of evidencebased approaches to risk and recidivism management, and offender behaviour change. Experience working with clients presenting with mental illness, AOD use disorders and dual diagnoses. Experience in the assessment and support of clients with intellectual impairments. Strong communication skills and an ability to promote interagency collaboration. Ability to work flexibly with individuals who have complex needs. Skilled in group facilitation, or willing to learn. Essential Requirements Minimum fouryear accredited qualification in psychology. Current full AHPRA registration with the Psychology Board of Australia. Current drivers license and willingness to travel throughout NSW.
