Casual Educator Opportunities (Outside School Hours Care) Casual Educator opportunities at St Joseph''s Outside School Hours Care (OSHC), Maclean. We offer A great work environment with supportive leadership Hourly rates $40.44-$43.07 (casual), plus superannuation Flexibility for work around family and study commitments Opportunities for you to grow and develop in your role As a casual role, hours will vary. As a general guide, most casual staff work 9-15 hours/week during school term, and up to 38 hours during vacation care. Duties After school and vacation programs Organise and supervise children in various recreational and educational activities. Take an active role in supporting positive behaviours and self-regulation. Apply policies, procedures or similar related to an early childhood education and care environment. Build relationships with the children and families and positively represent the service. Responsible Person and Acting Coordinator opportunities for experienced candidates Selection Criteria Professional presentation and excellent punctuality. Ability to apply and comply with child safeguarding principles and mandatory reporting obligations. Ability to engage in a positive and friendly manner with children and families. Must be available weekdays, minimum 3pm-6pm during school term and between 8am and 6pm during school holidays. Experience and/or qualifications in childcare/education would be highly regarded, but not essential. Employees must have, or be able to obtain prior to commencement, a valid NSW Working with Children Check clearance. Responsible Person shifts also require: Current First Aid Qualification specific for early childhood settings (HLTAID012) and Child Protection Training (CHCPRT025 or equivalent). Pay rates Pay rates are based on level of appointment, starting from Level 1.3 ($38.13 per hour). As a guide, most educators are employed at: Level 3: $40.44 per hour including allowances, plus superannuation (e.g. experience and/or Certificate III/IV in Early Childhood Education and Care) Level 4: $43.07 per hour including allowances, plus superannuation (Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or Teaching qualification) Level 5: $46.46 per hour including allowances, plus superannuation (when undertaking Responsible Person duties) How to apply If this role sounds like a great fit, please submit your CV through Seek.
