GBRF is seeking a Director of Portfolio Development to provide leadership and direction on new strategic initiatives and programs and support overall delivery and direction of our entire program Portfolio (~$250M). Reporting to the Executive Director of Impact you will play a key role in the design, delivery and scaling of large, bold and complex programs that advance our mission and shape the future for coral reefs. Generalists with relevant leadership and program delivery experience are encouraged to apply. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Leadership: Drive impact to advance GBRFs 2030 Strategy through program and partnership design and development. Implementation excellence: Support and enhance the coordination and delivery of large-scale, place-based programs across the 2030 Portfolio Innovation: Foster and enable innovation within the portfolio and through distinct initiatives that accelerate and scale reef and community resilience. Relationship management: foster a diverse network of partner and stakeholder relationships (internal and external) to support the values and unique role of the Foundation and deliver enduring outcomes and impact. THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL HAVE Proven track record (10 years +) leading the design and implementation of large-scale, complex multi-stakeholder programs, ideally in the environmental management, marine science or community/international development contexts. This includes creating detailed project and MEL plans, identifying risks and mitigation strategies, managing contracts and budgets, and delivering comprehensive reports and presentations. Demonstrated exceptional communication and relationship skills demonstrated by your strong global network of partners, stakeholders and rightsholders, with humility and respect at the core of your approach. Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field such as community, economic or international development, environmental or conservation management or marine science. Demonstrated leadership in managing high performing teams, budgets and partnerships across multiple projects or regions. Strategic thinking, creative problem solving and a proven track record of delivering high impact outcomes through collaboration. Ability to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with shifting responsibilities and priorities. Experience across the private, public and NFP sectors is desirable.
