About the RoleThe Central-West Orana project is seeking dedicated Project Engineers to join our Substation team. This position will work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, procurement, construction, and quality assurance, to ensure that all civil aspects of the project are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. Location: travel to the camp and site near Mudgee on a 14 day on/7 day off roster. This role is for the Civil Project Engineer - Substations role at ACCIONA.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and review civil engineering designs and calculations for substation foundations, gantry''s, and associated structuresEnsure designs comply with relevant standards, codes, and client specificationsEnsure all quality and environmental aspects of the project are addressed to maintain effective operation and project deliveryMonitor subcontractors performance and ensures the quality and standard of workmanship is in accordance with the specificationsEnsures that program is communicated to subcontractors, suppliers, and internal staff to maintain commitmentAssist in managing cost control for certain aspects of the project in order to ensure the project meets its performance targets in relation to budget/forecastLead, motivate, and mentor site personnel to foster positive team dynamics, staff moral and work outcomesDevelop and monitor implementation of construction methods including auditsMaintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including drawings, reports, and as-built recordsAssist in the preparation of project schedules, budgets, and resource plans specific to civil worksAddress client queries and concerns related to civil works in a timely and professional mannerQualificationsBachelor''s degree in civil engineering, or a related field3+ years of relevant experience in Foundations, ideally in SubstationsProblem solving / analytical skillsGeotechnical InterpretationEnsuring all relevant regulatory requirements are satisfiedWorking knowledge of HS&E requirements and implementation of sameStrong interpersonal and communication skills, with demonstrated experience collaborating across multiple stakeholder groupsJob detailsSeniority level: Entry levelEmployment type: Full-timeJob function: Civil EngineeringIndustries: Civil EngineeringWe welcome applicantsWe welcome applicants of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences.
