Senior Protection Engineer at EnervenJoin Enerven as a Senior Protection Engineer, where you''ll play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality designs for HV/UHV substations and renewable energy systems. Reporting to Protection & Secondary Engineering lead, you''ll contribute technical leadership, mentorship and expertise across complex projects.As the Senior Protection Engineer, you will provide technical support and guidance to team members, act as a technical authority of protection designs whilst playing a key role in the successful delivery of designs across the project portfolio. You will support the Protection Team Lead and contribute expert knowledge across all Protection-related deliverables.Day to day you willProvide technical authority, guidance and mentoring to the Protection engineers within the disciplineSupport the development and improvement of engineering processes, procedures and templatesSupport the business development team with conceptual designs, estimates and proposals for complex projectsCollaborate closely with engineers, designers and design managers to ensure efficient and high-quality project outcomesProviding technical engineering advice, you will make sound decisions based on technical, commercial, and contractual requirements and work with internal and external stakeholdersLead, Mentor and develop other protection engineers/ graduate engineers and undergraduate engineersProduce engineering deliverables, develop & maintain Technical Authority/ expertise of the protection documents including:Protection Single Line Diagrams and Block LogicsProtection philosophyProtection setting calculationRelay setting and configurationModelling and networks assessment, fault analysis and load flow studyEnsure compliance of design with relevant design standards, regulations & Australian StandardsAbout youYou will be required to have detailed knowledge of protection design, familiar with protection schemes, substation and renewables engineering principles, knowledge in HV and UHV transmission protection design and power engineering fundamentals.
