Job Description

Camerata Queenslands Chamber Orchestra is seeking an organised, creative and proactive Artistic Coordinator to join our team on a 6-month contract (15 hours per week). This role supports the delivery of Cameratas acclaimed artistic program, including concerts, touring, engagements, education initiatives, and community projects, while also providing essential administrative and coordination support across the organisation. This parttime position is ideal for an emerging arts professional, arts administrator, or musically literate coordinator who thrives in a dynamic, collaborative environment. About the Role Working closely with the Artistic Director, Executive Producer, and wider team, the Artistic Coordinator supports both artistic operations and daytoday organisational administration. Key Responsibilities Include Artistic Coordination Research repertoire, artistic ideas, and programming suggestions.Assist with preparation of smallscale programs and Orchestra for Hire engagements.Compile seating lists and liaise with librarian regarding music and part preparation.Assist with sourcing composer biographies, program note logistics, and musicrelated copy for marketing (NB. writing full program notes is not required).Provide administrative support to the Artistic Director.Assist with auditions, expressions of interest, and rehearsal planning.Attend selected rehearsals to take and distribute notes. Music Library & Digital Score Management Scan and prepare music for distribution.Retrieve and file digital scores after performances.Assist with iPad setup and ForScore operation at rehearsals and performances.Support the ongoing digitisation of the music library. Marketing Support Contribute to campaigns and collateral.Assist with editing or preparing still images, audio, and video materials aligned with Cameratas brand. Administration & Office Support Prepare purchase orders and process receipts.Support scheduling and logistics for performances and events, including artist and stakeholder liaison.Proofread internal documents before external distribution. Team & Organisational Duties Uphold Cameratas values and contribute to a collaborative, positive team culture.Attend weekly staff meetings and occasional evening/weekend events or rehearsals.Follow WHS procedures and maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
