Medibank is seeking an experienced and seasoned leader to take on the role ofSquad Lead Business Solutions Security, Strategy and Delivery. This is a pivotal role that supports secure, business-aligned technology delivery across the organisation, enabling innovation while managing cyber risk. About the Role As Squad Lead, you will lead and coordinate a portfolio of critical functions that form a vital capability within Medibanks cyber security ecosystem: Business Security Engagement: Oversee a team of Business Information Security Officers (BISOs) who act as strategic interfaces between cyber security and key business units. This team ensures security is embedded into business initiatives from the outset, enabling secure digital innovation and effective risk management. Security Program Delivery: Lead the delivery of Medibanks cyber security program, including the development, ownership, and ongoing refinement of the organisations cyber security strategy and roadmap. Ensure alignment with regulatory frameworks such asISO 27001,NIST, andAPRA CPS 234. Security Awareness and Training: Drive Medibanks security culture by leading awareness and training initiatives that empower employees to manage cyber risks and foster a security-first mindset. As a key member of theCyber and Technology leadership group, you will work closely with internal stakeholders, delivery squads, and third-party partners to align business strategy with security priorities and operational delivery. Your leadership will be instrumental in strengthening Medibanks cyber maturity, enhancing operational resilience, and protecting customer trust. About You You are a senior cyber security leader with broad expertise and a track record of delivering business-aligned security outcomes. You bring: 10+ years of experiencein a leadership role overseeingbusiness solutions delivery and security integrationwithin complex, enterprise environments. Proven ability to leadcross-functional teamsdelivering secure, scalable technology solutions aligned with business objectives. Strong expertise in cybersecurity principles and frameworks such asISO/IEC 27001,NIST CSF, andAPRA CPS 234, with practical experience embedding security controls throughout the solution lifecycle. Excellent communication skills, able to articulate complex technical and security concepts clearly to a broad range of stakeholders, including executives, business units, and technical teams. High analytical and mature problem-solving skills. Relevant professional certifications such asCISSP,CISM,PMP, or equivalent, demonstrating dedication to security best practices and effective project leadership. Proven ability to foster collaboration and influence across diverse teams, driving a culture ofsecurity awarenessandcontinuous improvement. Experience leading or supportingsecurity awareness and training initiativesthat build organisational resilience and a proactive security mindset.
