Provide strategic academic leadership to advance workforce planning, policy governance, internal engagement, and capability development. About the Role Operating within the Faculty of Education and Arts, the Deputy Dean, Strategy and Capability is a senior faculty executive role responsible for leading and delivering the facultys people and workforce agenda and commitments. The role focuses on mentoring and academic careers in collaboration with research and teaching portfolio leaders to support human flourishing and the common good. It provides highlevel academic leadership to advance the facultys strategic priorities in workforce planning, policy governance, internal engagement and capability development, working closely with the Executive Dean, Heads of School and Institute and Centre Directors. The Deputy Dean promotes and ensures academic and teaching quality, fosters research and scholarly excellence, and promotes the facultys national and international standing. Executive oversight of agreed key strategic projects for the faculty and deputising for the Executive Dean as required are also responsibilities. This opportunity comprises a temporary parttime (0.6FTE) academic assignment for a period of three (3) years, renewable based on performance and supported by a continuing academic Elevel appointment, dependent on the experience, expertise and capability of the successful candidate. Total remuneration valued to $260,037 $260,037 total rem (pro rata) pa, including salary component $220,723 $220,723 (pro rata) pa (Academic Level E Increment1), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading. 17% employer superannuation contributions to eligible continuing and fixedterm staff. Annual leave loading of an equivalent to 17.5% of four weeks salary pro rata payable, dependent on commencement date.
