Your Key Responsibilities As an economist, you will deliver real-world solutions across a wide range of public and private engagements, including: Conducting economic assessments and modelling on the pressing issues facing businesses and government in Australia and around the world. Performing cuttingedge economic appraisals, including costbenefit analysis and economic impact assessments to guide decisionmaking. Providing policy, strategic and regulatory advice in key areas of the economy like energy, resources, trade, tax, human services and the environment. Liaising with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions. You will also support growth of the business by helping to develop new services, adopting new technology and analytical capabilities, and activating ideas to help our clients succeed in a dynamic economy. Skills And Attributes For Success Heres our wish list but dont worry if you dont tick all the boxes. Were interested in your strengths, what you want to learn, and how far you want to go. Degree qualified in a relevant discipline with over 1-3 years of experience. Proven experience in clientfacing roles, with excellent report writing, communication, and presentation skills. Strong problemsolving skills, with the ability to research issues and provide advice on policy, program guidelines, market trends, and industry practices. Experience in economic and policy analysis, economic impact studies, econometrics, costbenefit analysis and regulatory analysis.
