Brisbane, QLD | $165k$187k + Super | Permanent Full-Time About the Company Our client is a growing Brisbane-based engineering and technical services company delivering electrical and control systems projects across manufacturing, industrial refrigeration, fuel terminals, mining and general industry. Their engineers stay closely involved with projects from design through to commissioning , supported by an experienced in-house electrical and technical team. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Senior Control Systems Engineer to support industrial automation projects. About the Role This is a handson automation role focused on PLC programming, control systems integration and commissioning. You will work across the full lifecycle of projects, from design and configuration through to testing and troubleshooting in the field, while mentoring junior engineers. Key Responsibilities Design and implement industrial control systems and automation solutions Develop and configure PLC and SCADA systems (Siemens or Rockwell preferred) Prepare functional specifications, work packs and engineering documentation Support commissioning, troubleshooting and system upgrades on site Integrate PLCs, VFDs, instrumentation and industrial networks Participate in FAT, SAT and site testing activities Work closely with technicians and electricians during installation Mentor junior engineers and review technical deliverables Assist with technical scoping and project planning Additional Information Employment type: Permanent, fulltime Location: Brisbane, QLD Travel: Mostly local site visits with occasional regional travel Working rights: Full Australian working rights required (no visa sponsorship) About You 610+ years experience in industrial control systems or automation engineering Strong PLC programming experience Experience with SCADA or HMI platforms Handson commissioning and troubleshooting experience Ability to interpret electrical drawings and engineering documentation Comfortable working directly with site teams and technicians Qualifications Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical, Mechatronics or similar) RPEQ, CPEng, or working toward registration preferred Valid drivers licence Full Australian working rights required Nice to Have Ignition SCADA experience Hazardous area exposure Experience in mining, manufacturing or industrial facilities Exposure to technical scoping or project estimation Whats on Offer Salary $165k$187k + super Opportunity to work on diverse industrial automation projects Exposure to full lifecycle engineering delivery Growing engineering team with strong technical capability Pathway toward technical leadership or engineering management #J-18808-Ljbffr
