Glasshouse Views is a Signature home that provides high-quality care in a friendly, secure and comfortable residential environment.The RoleThe Care Services Assistant plays a pivotal frontline carer role with a particular focus on nutrition and dining, supporting residents to live a life of fulfilment through the delivery of person-centred care and support according to needs and preferences of each resident in everyday practice. Assisting in the preparation, delivery, presentation and serving of resident meals. Your responsibilities will be to provide care and support aligned with residents preferred daily routines with a strong focus on:Meal choices and individual nutritionConsideration of allergies and food intolerancesEnhancing the overall dining experienceAssist residents with meal selection and meal timing preferencesPrepare and set up dining areas to meet individual needs and preferencesActively engage with residents to provide social and emotional support during mealtimesUse empathy and kindness to foster a positive dining experiencePromote resident choice and control to uphold dignity and respectPrepare and maintain dining experience areas and provide meal service to meet individual resident choicesMaintain accurate nutrition and diet information as requiredAssist with quality food preparation in accordance with the Food Safety Plan, Bolton Clarke Food Standards and Dining FrameworkAssist with maintaining kitchen stock supplies as requiredTo be successfulDemonstrated customer service skillsA compassionate and caring attitudePrevious restaurant and/or commercial kitchen experience (highly regarded)Willingness to take direction from othersReliability and shift flexibilityGood time management skills and the ability to work well under pressureValid working rights in Australia (Passport, Birth Certificate etc)NDIS Clearance (or willingness to obtain)A caring team environment with strong clinical supportGenerous salary packaging and not-for-profit tax benefits claim up to $15,900 tax free plus additional $2650 in entertainment per yearAn Employee Assistance Program for staff and familyCareer progression and development opportunitiesTraining and support plus development opportunitiesFree annual flu shotsApply NowOur application process takes less than 10 minutes.
