But still want the benefits of city living? CONSULTANT SPECIALIST ANATOMICAL PATHOLOGIST An opportunity exists for an extra anatomic pathologist to join our friendly, collegial team. Capital Pathology is a leading private pathology provider servicing the ACT and surrounding regions from our modern, well-equipped main laboratory in central Canberra. Our referrers include GPs and specialists across most disciplines (skin, GI, GU, gynae and breast, and other specialties). In addition to on-site ancillary testing we have access to further specialist testing (such as somatic mutational analysis) through the Sonic Pathology network. We enjoy close relationships with our referring clinicians and participate in multiple MDTs and other clinical meetings. We are a teaching laboratory (accredited for up to four years of AP training) and provide education sessions for GPs and for registrars from other areas. As an anatomical pathologist you will be well supported by our laboratory scientists, clerical and administration staff as well as on-site IT assistance. The department has a hard-copy library on site as well as access to a large range of electronic journals, with librarian support. We offer a friendly and nurturing environment, and welcome applications from experienced or recently qualified pathologists. We would welcome subspecialty expertise in dermatopathology and/or breast pathology, or a willingness to develop in these areas, with mentoring from senior pathologists available.
