The team supports ASIC to meet its Parliamentary obligations and contributes to maintaining strong, effective relationships with Government.The roleAs a Government Relations Officer, you will support the Government Relations team by contributing to the preparation, coordination and delivery of materials that underpin ASIC''s engagement with Parliament and Government.Working closely with senior leaders and subject matter experts across ASIC, you will assist in ensuring Parliamentary processes are well supported, information is accurate and timely, and governance standards are maintained.Key Responsibilities IncludeSupporting Government Relations activities, including parliamentary matters, correspondence and briefingsAssisting with the preparation, drafting, formatting and quality assurance of materials for Parliamentary Committees, Hearings and Government briefingsMaintaining effective governance and recordkeeping practices to ensure information is accurate, complete and handled appropriatelyWorking collaboratively with internal stakeholders to coordinate inputs, track actions and manage timelinesContributing to continuous improvement of processes and systems, including identifying opportunities to use technology more effectivelyAbout YouYou bring experience supporting complex processes in environments that require accuracy, discretion and strong coordination. You are comfortable preparing and managing written materials, tracking actions and deadlines, and working within governance and compliance frameworks. Experience in government, regulatory, parliamentary, legal, policy or corporate environments will be highly regarded, along with relevant qualifications in public administration, business, law, politics or a related discipline.You are organised, dependable and professional, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment. You communicate clearly, build positive working relationships and work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders.
