This is a unique opportunity for a technical specialist who enjoys a balance of high level coordination and hands on site engagement. Our client is dedicated to delivering "fit for purpose" outcomes across a diverse portfolio of projects. As part of a collaborative and controlled operational environment, you will be the linchpin between engineering, procurement, and occassional on site execution, ensuring every mechanical service, from fabrication to construction is delivered with absolute precision. THE ROLE Reporting directly to the General Manager, Operations, you will own the delivery of mechanical services across the project lifecycle. This is a multifaceted role where you will manage everything from subcontractor networks to welding qualifications and site mobilisations. Key responsibilities include: Developing and auditing a robust network of subcontractors and suppliers for fabrication and installation services. Maintaining welding procedures and welder qualification records, and providing expert fabrication advice to engineering teams. Assisting with cost estimates for proposals, project planning, and the procurement of critical assets, materials, and tooling. Controlling the calibration of instruments and plant, reviewing subcontractor procedures (NDT, Coating, Hydro Testing), and generating technical RFIs. Providing relief coverage for Site Construction Managers and Supervisors as required, including occasional site work. ABOUT YOU You are a technically minded professional with a "get it done" attitude. Whether you come from a Mechanical Trade or an Engineering background, you possess a deep understanding of what it takes to get a project from the workshop to the field safely and efficiently. To be successful, you will bring: Solid knowledge of Australian and International standards for structural, mechanical, piping, and vessels. Strong functional knowledge of NDT, hydro-testing, welding, and coating processes. Experience in managing off site and on site fabrication, as well as estimating and schedule development for tenders. Desired Qualifications (Not Essential): AS 2214 or AS 1796 Welding Supervisor certifications, CSWIP 3.1/3.2, or AMPP Level 1/2 will be highly regarded. THE BENEFITS Have a direct say in how projects are estimated, planned, and executed. Balance a professional Brisbane office environment with occasional, high impact site visits. Work under the mentorship of the GM of Operations in a role that spans the full breadth of mechanical services. Join a respected industry name with a consistent pipeline of work and a focus on controlled, quality growth. HOW TO APPLY Ready to coordinate excellence?
