Mining Plus has an exciting opportunity for a Principal Mining professional with demonstrated expertise in open-pit projects. As a Principal Mining Consultant, you are responsible for providing premium consulting services to our clients. You will apply your expert Mining Engineering experience to provide recommendations to Mining Plus clients and projects across a variety of metal commodities. You will have the opportunity to work with our international team of technical experts on servicing projects globally. Key Responsibilities Provide ongoing technical oversight and engagement in mining studies (Scoping, Pre-feasibility & Feasibility) Conduct mine asset due diligence and evaluations Contribute to mine planning, optimization projects, and mine economics modelling Lead Mine Design and planning activities, including management of partner groups and sub-contractors Write and review technical engineering reports Oversee technical documents and delivery of projects including design, review, and project management according to client-approved scopes of work Champion practical mining solutions for projects and operations, leveraging our existing foundation of global best practices Actively leverage and advocate for industry-leading technology and support implementation engagements (collaboration with partner groups) Lead and manage multi-disciplinary project teams, working with professionals to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget Mentor and develop staff in your team, supporting their long-term career objectives and operational needs Manage contractors and sub-consultants on projects (as required) Skills/Qualifications 15+ years of mining-technical experience 5+ years of relevant operational mining experience required Mining Engineering bachelors degree Competence in mine planning software (Deswik or Datamine preferred) Fellow/Chartered Professional status and authorisation to sign off in accordance with JORC/43101/SAMREC, etc. Strong technical and project management skills Excellent workplace safety practices (advocate for global best practices) Practical mindset and passion for technical excellence Exceptional communication, report writing, interpersonal and presentation skills Superior time management, planning, and client interaction ability Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience in writing proposals, technical reports and general project correspondence Employee Benefits 13 weeks Long Service Leave Flexible work options Discounted health insurance and health services Employee Assistance Program Discounts with travel providers, online shopping, sports, and entertainment Want to learn more about us Visit our About us page: #J-18808-Ljbffr
