You will maximise customer experience, operational efficiency, and cost controls, contributing to business plans and achieving financial and supplier sourcing goals. This involves building a high-performance, accountable culture and an engaged supplier network that delivers best-in-class customer outcomes at industry-leading costs. Key responsibilities include developing and executing commercial strategies, managing budgets, and forecasting expenditure. You will facilitate stakeholder issue resolution, negotiate contracts, and oversee sourcing exercises and tenders to secure optimal commercial outcomes. Leading a commercial team and projects, you will drive process improvement, problem-solving, and operational efficiencies, with a continuous focus on customer experience, compliance, and staff engagement. You''ll ensure data-driven continuous improvement, enhance automated systems for fraud detection and compliance, challenge business norms, and contribute to the Company''s strategic direction and culture. Position Accountabilities Identify and realise market and internal opportunities to create a competitive advantage. Oversight of supplier relationships, developing new commercial relationships to right size the growing scale of our network of repairers and parts suppliers, as well as aligning behaviours and ultimately culture to our core service proposition to ensure a seamless customer journey. Delivering and refining re-engineering programs that develop a true, cost effective Repair service platform and fully utilise the investment in technologies, Symbility, Estimage and Audanet. Lead, coach, develop, and manage the senior management team with an emphasis on developing capability in strategic alignment and technical delivery, process optimisation and people care. Ensure compliance and business risk policies are both adhered to and challenged to meet the commercial, legislative and business environments. In consultation with the relevant internal stakeholders, develop and implement appropriate supplier management and assessing strategies that result in the companys overall objectives being met. Developing and implementing policy with regards to supplier management. Overseeing the assessing departments performance and ensuring alignment between cost control methodologies and customer service/brand reputation outcomes. Lead the team in a manner consistent with the Companys values, to ensure that employees are skilled, motivated and retained. This will help ensure that the Companies Core Strategies and Corporate Goals are met. Develop systems and tools to monitor and manage contract deliverables, service levels and commercial outcomes. Develop strategic sourcing or supply process improvements projects within category management. Central liaison between the Commercial Team and contract suppliers. Ensure government and industry regulatory requirements are understood and abided by suppliers. Develop and implement advanced commercial techniques to leverage value creation opportunities. Support drafting of high-quality contract documents and carry out contract variations, including updating or expanding scopes of services. Apply sound commercial judgement around application of contractual terms and conditions. Influence the selection of various project delivery models throughout the project phases. Maintain relationships with key stakeholders to become a highly valued contract expert. Provide contract management support to project teams throughout the contract life cycle. Mentor and provide guidance to others in your team, while engaging in high level strategic planning for the business and provide training as required on best practice procurement, managing contracts, negotiations, managing suppliers and policy and procedures. What Experience Youll Bring Demonstrated best practice strategic procurement, including centralisation of commercial strategies and achievement of significant cost savings primarily within the insurance sector or similar services industries. Demonstrated Leader with a background in strategic procurement in a large, complex organisation, you have strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, the presence to deal at the highest levels and the drive to bring vision to reality. An exceptional understanding of financial levers, and a high degree of commercial acumen. Claims and/or significant Insurance Industry experience preferred. Track record of success driving performance through accountability for results and a performance culture. Significant knowledge of the delivery of services and products through traditional Customer Service channels as well as Digital and Omni Channel strategies. Track record of exploiting technology to solve customer and operational challenges in large enterprise environments would be an advantage. Demonstrated success at implementing and delivering on operational efficiency / business process enhancement initiatives whilst maintaining an engaged committed organizational culture committed to continuous improvement. Demonstrated ability to negotiate business outcomes combined with superior communication skills. Strong knowledge of legislative frameworks relating to financial services is preferred but not mandatory. Tertiary and ideally Post graduate qualifications preferred.
