This role is for a suitably qualified and enthusiastic electrician or mechanical technician to work in our service team as a technician. The successful applicant must hold a recognised Australian trade certificate. The department is a small team environment based on site at Kennedy Energy Park. The technicians report to the site supervisor and are responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the wind turbines in accordance with the contract. Support is provided by an administrator and a planner with KPIs given by the Service Manager. Responsibilities Undertake scheduled service and reactive maintenance as requiredRespond and attend site outside normal working hours to undertake reactive maintenance on a rostered basisMaintain all company vehicles and keep plant equipment in good clean conditionUndertake operations and maintenance within the limits of training and authorisation including operation of HV and LVEnsuring that each task is undertaken in a manner that ensure the safety of personnel, protects the environment and work methods are followed at all timesUndertake the site inductionUndertake the requirements of the SMA (Service Maintenance Agreement)Complying with the duty of care assigned under OH&S legislation and demonstrate commitment to accident preventionObserving all work instructions, procedures, safety codes of practice, employer OH&S and Environmental requirements and statutory rules and regulationsWear the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment as requiredParticipate in safety, toolbox or other meetings where requiredAll other duties within competence, skill, qualifications and experience as directed Qualifications Australian Electrical Licenseand/or Mechanical trade certificateFull drivers licenseOther relevant, but not required qualifications include: GWO training, working at heights, safety, manual handling, HV/LV rescue, fire awareness, first aid Competencies Literate with PC & modern technologies to support your day-to-day workAbility to read/interpret technical drawings to support fault-finding and/or maintenance activitiesAny knowledge of PLC and/or SCADA systemsMotivation to learn new skills and thrive in a growing industryUnderstanding of safety principles, willing to adhere to and drive safety compliance company-wideExperience with HV/LV, hydraulics, and mechanical systems in a residential, commercial, and/or industrial environmentProficient in the use of various hand toolsStrong communicational skills, ability to work in a small teamAbility to work at heights in confined environments Additional Information You must have the right to live and work in this location to apply for this jobThis role is not FIFO/DIDO.
