The Kingaroy Medicare Mental Health Centre, funded by Darling Downs and West Morton PHN, offers inclusive, lowstigma access points for mental health services, providing assessment, triage, warm referrals, and immediate support. It caters to individuals at various levels of need, including those in crisis, fostering an innovative, agile, and flexible approach to service delivery. As a Mental Health Clinician, youll collaborate with the Senior Clinician and Clinical Lead, providing individualised, evidencebased interventions for short to mediumterm support. Youll contribute to team meetings, build relationships with external stakeholders, and work within the community to deliver holistic recoveryorientated care. On a daytoday basis you will Conduct clinical assessments and develop case formulations and treatment plans for clients with moderate to severe mental health difficulties. Deliver individualised, evidencebased interventions with clients. Perform risk assessments and develop practical risk management plans. Provide clientcentred care, incorporating familyinclusive practices within a multidisciplinary team. Build and maintain strong working relationships with external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with confidentiality and ethical standards. About you Are you a professional, innovative, and caring clinician who thrives as part of a multidisciplinary team, and enjoys working with a wide range of external stakeholders involved in providing health, mental health, and psychosocial services? Were also looking for Tertiary qualifications in psychology, social work, occupational therapy, or other clinical disciplines related to mental health. Registration with the appropriate professional body such as AHPRA or AASW. Expertise in assessing, diagnosing, and providing evidencebased treatments for mental health disorders. Extensive experience fostering mental health and wellbeing, delivering inclusive therapeutic services with a recovery and strengthsbased focus. Competency or the ability to develop competency in conducting risk assessments, crisis intervention planning, and implementing effective risk management strategies for consumers. Knowledge of the mental health system, government policies, legislation, and professional standards. A commitment to foster and build inclusive cultures that promote human rights and diversity.
