You will support QTRIP projects in meeting departmental and government commitments regarding cultural heritage management during planning, design, construction and maintenance of multiple projects. You will also facilitate the implementation of legislative and departmental policy/procedure relating to cultural heritage management as part of the operation of the State Controlled Road corridor.In addition, you are required to form strategic alliances with internal and external clients including Traditional Owners and/or their agents.Some Of Your Responsibilities Will IncludeFulfil the role of cultural heritage advisor on multiple project delivery teams, providing cultural heritage advice and management services including the planning, design, construction and maintenance of projects and associated District operations.Undertake cultural heritage assessments and prepare reports, management plans and agreements regarding cultural heritage matters relevant to the department''s interests and requirements.Promote, foster and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Traditional Owner groups, concerned with the management of cultural heritage relevant to the department''s interest.Provide information, advice and training sessions to stakeholders on relevant legislation, departmental policy, procedures and requirements for cultural heritage management.Participate and represent the department on various external working groups/committees relating to the preservation of Cultural Heritage.Work collaboratively as part of the Environment and Cultural Heritage team and contribute to the team''s identified responsibilities and behaviours.Mandatory Qualifications And ConditionsPossession of a bachelor''s degree in Cultural Heritage Management, Archaeology, Anthropology, Architecture or Law from a recognised tertiary institution or qualifications which, in the opinion of the Director-General of the Department of Transport and Main Roads are equivalent.Desirable Qualifications And ConditionsRelevant cultural heritage management experience associated with the delivery of infrastructure projects.Current holder of Class C driver''s licence.Applications to remain current for 12 months.Job Ad Reference: QLD/682686/26Closing Date: Tuesday, 7 April 2026Occupational group Arts/Culture/Heritage #J-18808-Ljbffr
