The Role As a community Nurse at Westbury and Longford Community Health centres you will provide quality nursing care to a wide variety of community clients in the home environment or in the clinic setting. You will need Current knowledge of, and the ability to apply nursing principles, procedures and practices in the delivery of patient/client care in a designated practice area and in line with legal requirements and the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Board (NMBA) Registered Nurse standards for practice Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Commitment to patientcentred care and safety Ability to work effectively in a team environment Postgraduate qualifications (desirable) Note: Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the selection criteria of this position to address in your application. Details of appointment Permanent, parttime, day worker position, working up to 14 hours per fortnight, commencing from 12 April 2026. Fixed term, casual position working as and when required, commencing as soon as possible for approximately 24 months, notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar fulltime, parttime, and casual vacancies. Salary $80,524 to $102,295 per annum (Pro rata). Our employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023. Access to the Grade 4 salary range $102,439$109,175 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade4. In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available: PostGraduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type Salary Packaging Youll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
