Pump Crew - Civil Works Underground Operator Add expected salary to your profile for insights Rosebery is an underground polymetallic base metal mine located in the township of Rosebery in Tasmania, Australia. The mine is a deep, sub-level open stoping operation with complex mining conditions. The Rosebery Mine has been at the heart of the Rosebery community since 1936 and is one of Tasmanias largest and oldest continuously operating, underground mines producing zinc, copper and lead concentrates, as well as gold dor. It supports approximately 500 employees and their families, has a strong community focus and engages a wide range of local businesses from across Tasmania in its supply chain boosting the economy of the West Coast of Tasmania and beyond. The mine has a strong future, with extensive exploration activities which have continued to grow the resource and require mine planning beyond 10 years of continued operation. Operator - Pump Crew Reporting to the Supervisor Mine Services you will ensure that all aspects of operations are carried out safely and efficiently in accordance with Company and Legislative standards and procedures. Key Accountabilities Conducting pre-start safety checks on the mining equipment you are assigned to for the day. Completion of all required shift reports. Effective handovers with your immediate cross-shift and supervisors. Carrying out workplace inspections. Operation, installation, maintenance of pumps to manage water flow and water management throughout mine. Management of water ingress system to ensure continuity of supply to the mining operation. Ensuring correct signage (warning/hazards) is used and maintained at all times according to site standards and procedures. Ensuring good housekeeping standards are maintained at all times. Mechanical aptitude (highly desirable) Previous underground mining experience is desirable or experience in construction or heavy industry.
