Overview Branch: Kalgoorlie-Boulder Community High School Division: Independent Public School - Goldfields Education Region Salary: Level 1, $1,191.20 - $1,210.80 per week (pro-rata) (GS (Misc.) GA 2025) This is a 6 month fixed term, part-time (0.75 FTE) position commencing Term 2, 2026 with possible extension and/or permanency Kalgoorlie-Boulder Community High School (CHS) was opened in 2006 and proudly offers secondary courses from Year 7 to 10. The school prides itself on an enrolment of over 850 students from a diverse range of socio-economic and cultural backgrounds, who all contribute to a vibrant and collaborative school culture. The school''s committed student services team ensure excellent pastoral care and monitoring of students, with a dedicated student services coordinator and officer working closely with each year group. Dynamic teaching staff offer engaging delivery of both main curriculum areas and a diverse range of subjects and programs catering for students with a variety of interests and needs. Role and Responsibilities As a cleaner, you will be responsible for internal cleaning duties, including the maintenance of carpets and hard floor surfaces, toilet cleaning, furniture and fittings, window cleaning, dusting, rubbish removal, and other items of general cleaning. In addition, you will also carry out external cleaning duties, including the cleaning of verandas and covered areas, rubbish removal, cleaning of drinking troughs, window cleaning, removal of cobwebs and other general cleaning duties. During vacation times, you will also undertake the stripping and sealing of vinyl floors, window cleaning, shampooing of carpets, pressure cleaning of verandas and undercover areas. In this role, you will ideally have good attention to detail and will be able to work well both individually and as part of a team to ensure a clean and safe school environment. You should be organised, honest, reliable, and punctual and have excellent knowledge of cleaning equipment and safe cleaning procedures, methods, and practices.
