We are looking for a highly experienced person with at least 6+ years of experience in broadcast news.What you''ll do as a Producer/Reporter at 10 News:In this role, you''ll be at the forefront of news coverageinvestigating, producing, and delivering highquality stories that matter. Reporting to the Executive Editor, you''ll thrive in a fastpaced environment, working both independently and collaboratively to create impactful television news content.Functions will also include:Pitch, research, and produce original, highquality news stories for broadcast.Work under tight deadlines to deliver clear, accurate, and engaging TV news content.Report live with confidence on breaking news events.Take the lead on complex news stories, from concept to broadcast with minimal supervision.Proactively source and line up stories, ensuring comprehensive and dynamic coverage.Cover other newsroom roles as required.Actively contribute to editorial decisions, finding stories that are relevant to our viewers.Manage time pressures and be able to meet multiple daily deadlines.What we''re looking for in this role?Strong news judgement and a deep understanding of the TV news landscape.Exceptional communication skillsboth onair and behind the scenes.Ability to work under pressure and make quick, accurate editorial decisions.Proven track record in television news reporting.Indepth knowledge of local, national, and international current affairs.Proficiency in nonlinear editing systems, with experience in TV news production.Flexibility to work across different shifts, including weekends, to meet newsroom demands.Strong grasp of media law and its application in news reporting.As our teams take a welldeserved break over the festive season, applications are not being reviewed until after the New Year.Paramount embraces differences and welcomes applications from people of all backgrounds, including but not limited to race, colour, sex, language, religion, political opinion, nationality, marital status, disability, place of residence, sexual orientation, age, and social origin.We''re honoured to have been named on Diversity Council Australia''s annual list of Inclusive Employers for 202324 and 202425.
