About the Role Elizabeth Street Day Centre provides an activity programme aimed at maintaining the best possible physical, psychological and social functioning for each member. The Centre is open from 10am until 3pm every weekday and offers a range of services, such as socialisation, craft and handwork, assistance with skills for daily living, and recreational activities. You will bring a strong desire to be part of a team and an eagerness to be your best and be dedicated to continued learning and striving for the best patient outcomes. Strong communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to follow direction are essential to your success as you assist your Allied Health colleagues in delivering treatment in a rehabilitation hospital environment. We are interested in hearing from either diversional therapists or allied health assistants for these roles. You will be responsible for: Providing care under the supervision of a Coordinator Assist in maintaining a safe working environment Maintaining equipment and stock Communicating information relevant to the member''s conditions to the Coordinator and refer requests for information of members'' health to the Coordinator About You A passion for caring for elderly persons Strong communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to follow direction A strong desire to be part of a team and an eagerness to be your best Dedication to continued learning and striving for the best patient outcomes The ability to be flexible and adapt to a fast-paced environment in a time of change An enthusiasm for planning and implementing activities, as well as encouraging participation Experience within the Health Service is advantageous In your cover letter, please indicate which role you are applying for and explain why you believe you are the right fit for this position.
