About the project We operate the Adelaide Living Beaches Sand Transfer Infrastructure, a critical coastal protection system that keeps Adelaides beaches healthy and accessible. This is longterm, meaningful infrastructure work in a highvisibility public environment. Key activities include: Sand transfer and beach replenishment along metropolitan coastline. Operation of excavators, tractors, and pumping systems. Working in live public areas where safety and presentation matter. About the role As a Plant & Maintenance Operator, you will work in a small, closeknit team delivering both operations and maintenance activities across the site. This is a handson role youll be operating machinery, supporting sand transfer operations, and stepping in to assist with labouring and maintenance tasks as needed. Key responsibilities Loading sand into feed hopper using a 36T excavator including stockpile replenishment whilst feeding. Harvesting sand from open public beach with 700HP tractor landplane and stockpiling material inside beach compound. Operating 5T excavator at slurry discharge location to prevent any dune escarpment and/or damage to local vegetation. Support sand pumping, dredging, and transfer operations. Undertake offseason maintenance tasks including inspections, teardowns, rebuilds, sanding, painting and equipment upkeep. Dont tick all the boxes?
