Key services provided to developers in this service line include site assessment and due diligence, planning approvals and engineering design through to completion of construction.Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead the design and delivery of electrical solutions across street lighting, traffic signals, and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) projects throughout Queensland. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, high-impact transport infrastructure projects while growing your leadership capability within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.SpecificallyLead and deliver electrical design projects across public lighting, traffic signals, and ITSUndertake feasibility studies, concept development, and detailed designPrepare and submit EQL documentation for Rate 2 and Rate 3 lighting designsDevelop technical documentation including reports, specifications, BoQs, scopes of work, and datasheetsProvide site support, construction advice, and commissioning assistanceEnsure compliance with EQL, TMR, council, and Australian standardsAssist in improving internal processes, procedures, and design qualityCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated design outcomesBuild and maintain strong client relationships and support business growthManage budgets, forecasts, risk, and commercial performanceSupport team development, mentoring, and a positive project cultureQualificationsBachelors degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent)3+ years experience in electrical design, ideally within transport infrastructureProven experience in:Public lighting design within EQL (Rate 2 & Rate 3)Traffic signals design (TMR, BCC, and other councils)ITS experience (desirable)Strong knowledge of Australian standards including AS/NZS 1158 and AS/NZS 4282Experience with design tools such as Perfect Lite, AGI32, PowerPac, and AutoCADStrong project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skillsAbility to clearly communicate complex technical information to non-technical audiencesAdditional InformationAt Colliers, we are enterprising.
