At the ACCC, we believe the best version of you is the one thats true to who you are and thats the you we want working alongside us.We value flexibility, and all roles can be performed from any capital city in a state or territory or Townsville and are available on a full-time, part-time or job-share basis.Applicants from diverse backgrounds including First Nations peoples, people with disability and those from different cultural backgrounds are encouraged to apply.What You Will Do Within The RolesAs a Senior Technical Advisor (Data Strategy) at APS6 level in the Coordination and Business Support Unit, you will:Contribute to data strategy, governance and policies for the division ensuring that it is consistent with and contributes positively to agency-wide policies and practices.Contribute to the development of data strategies, governance processes and policies for the division and make decisions, using good judgement and expertise and knowledge, and in line with best practice principles, agency operating instructions and/or guidance from Directors and Assistant Directors in the team.Provide specialist advice and assistance to project teams across the division on data strategy, governance processes, data manipulation, visualisation, analytics and automation to improve existing processes and methods.Assist with the collaboration and coordination with technical areas and the Senior Strategic Adviser Data to ensure the division meets its regulatory and corporate responsibilities, support coordination and consistency between project teams on data governance, management, manipulation, visualisation, analytics and automation.Assist branches and teams in the division in data project approvals, funding, initiation and implementation.Support division data specialists and stewards and facilitate a Community of Practice.Contribute to the development of data-related training to build division capability, including by coordinating and collaborating on training from data specialists and assisting and advising branches and teams in setting up new data projects and processes.Contribute to the preparation and presentation of briefs and reports for a variety of stakeholders, including Commissioners and other government agencies.Communicate complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences, in non-technical written form (e.g. emails, reports, briefings) and verbally (e.g. presentations).Develop and support a range of stakeholder relationships. Manage relationships with stakeholders to achieve work area and agency goals. Anticipate and respond to stakeholder needs and expectations.Share learning and support team members. Support project teams in providing assistance to other divisions where appropriate.As a Senior Analyst (Data) at APS6 level in Infrastructure Division, you will:Contribute to a range of data projects to inform regulatory functions as appropriate, such as undertaking market monitoring, reporting, regulatory and pricing processes, and compliance monitoring activities, to inform evidenced-based decision making.Contribute input to the development of relevant policy insight and advocacy.Communicate complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences, in written form (e.g. emails, reports, briefings) and verbally (e.g. presentations).Contribute to the preparation and presentation of briefs, reports and publications for a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including Commissioners, government, businesses, members of the public, consumer advocates and industry groups.Make decisions using good judgement, expertise and knowledge, in line with best practice principles, agency operating instructions and/or guidance from Directors and Assistant Directors in the team.Develop and support a range of stakeholder relationships in relation to data and information management. Represent the agency and promote its interest based on their technical expertise. Manage relationships with stakeholders to achieve work area and agency goals.
