Youll find our mine in the Gulf of Carpentaria, 900 km southeast of Darwin and 64 km from Borroloola. We produce and process Zinc, Lead and Silver from our open cut mining operations. Everyone at MRM is responsible for contributing to the operational disciplines that ensure we are all safe - this is critical in our day-to-day work.Mining Engineering is unique at McArthur River Mine, apply today to find out more about the opportunities and experiences you would be exposed to, grow your career and challenge yourself.Reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer you could be accountable for a diverse range of tasks such as, daily and monthly mine plans, projects and costs, dump construction methodologies and long-term strategies, drill and blast, and continuous improvement of mining operations.Key ResponsibilitiesCreate and implement daily and monthly mine plans to support pit operations and over burden emplacement.Design drill and blast patterns, haul roads, and pit/stockpile layoutsMonitor and maintain mining schedules, records, and reporting systemsConduct cost analysis to support budgeting and forecastingLiaise with a range of key stakeholders to ensure optimisation of resources to meet short and long term plans.Prepare technical reports and production schedules.Ensure compliance with site procedures, safety standards, and statutory requirements.Successful candidate will have:Bachelor of Engineering majoring in Mining or similar relevant tertiary qualification from a recognized tertiary institution.Demonstrated knowledge of mining engineering in open pit environment.Experience with blast design and modelling software (ShotPlus or BlastIQ) and mine design software (Vulcan or Deswick).Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and housekeepingA proactive mindset with a genuine desire to contribute to the MRM team and the broader Glencore groupAt MRM, we are Territory First we encourage and prioritise applications from current Northern Territory residents or those willing to relocate.Current Glencore employees are encouraged to discuss their interest in this position with their manager prior to applying.To learn more, contact us at [email protected] Note : We may commence interviews and make appointments prior to the closing date.Apply Now and shape the future with Glencore. #J-18808-Ljbffr
