As Director (Active Transport), you will lead a high performing, multidisciplinary team delivering a complex statewide program spanning policy, strategy, planning, engagement and infrastructure investment. Key responsibilities Leading a team providing contractor, consultant and other procurement services across the TSP Branch. Leading and developing a high performing multidisciplinary team delivering a complex program of work related to active transport across Queensland, including: development and implementation of the TMR Active Transport Delivery Plan network planning for cycling and walking development and delivery of TMR''s Active Transport Investment Program including: Grant programs supporting active transport projects delivered by councils TMR''s capital works investment program subject matter expert advisory services for TMR projects communication, engagement, and encouragement programs development and implementation of the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games Active Travel Program. Managing strategic issues and risks while providing accurate advice, reports and general correspondence to the Executive Director, General Manager, Deputy DirectorGeneral, DirectorGeneral and the Minister. Building and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and representing TMR in working groups, forums and committees. Proactively engaging in contemporary human resource management practices including workforce management, workplace health, safety and wellbeing, ethical behaviour, antidiscrimination and employee performance management. Requirements Of The Role Demonstrated ability to manage delivery of a complex program of work and to lead diverse team of professionals. Knowledge of government procurement processes and practices. Extensive knowledge of contemporary active transport issues, policies, practices and delivery approaches. Ability to advance TMR''s active transport agenda within an operating context of potentially extreme views about what can and should be pragmatic outcomes. Proven ability to engage and collaborate with a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders and to exert positive influence to achieve desired outcomes for active transport.
