The Opportunity We''re looking for a Group Financial Accountant to join our Brisbane CBD finance team and play a key role in the day-to-day and strategic financial operations of the business. This is a backbone role in a business mid-transformation. You''ll be stepping into a multi-entity environment at a time when we''re actively streamlining processes and evolving our finance function. There''s real scope to have a direct impact. What Youll Do Prepare and analyse financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Manage all financial records, including workpapers, journals, accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger accounts. Interrogate and analyse financial records to identify and resolve discrepancies. Contribute to month-end and year-end financial close activities. Accounts Payable & Expense Management Oversee the end-to-end accounts payable function including invoice verification, coding and payment processing Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve queries Monitor and review prepayments and accruals to ensure accurate period recognition Facilitate payment runs on a regular basis Collaborate with various departments to gather necessary information and validate prepayment and accrual entries. Tax & Treasury Own the treasury function - banking arrangements, approval processes, day-to-day banking requirements Oversee bank reconciliations, cash flow management and fund transfers across multiple accounts Monitor cash flow projections and recommend actions to optimise cash management Process Improvement & General Identify and implement process improvements across finance operations Contribute to risk management and governance Assist with systems implementation and continuous improvement initiatives What Were Looking For CA, CPA, CIMA qualified or working towards Minimum 5 years in accounting roles Multi-entity and intercompany accounting experience Strong understanding of Chart of Accounts and GL account management Balance sheet reconciliation skills Experience working across multiple systems (Xero and/or MYOB preferred) A go-getter mentality - someone who hits the ground running and thrives in a changing environment Strong stakeholder management and communication skills Problem-solving mindset with a genuine interest in process improvement Enthusiasm for people management and mentoring a team Background in a multi-system, multi-entity consolidation environment Experience managing or mentoring junior finance staff Why This Role Real ownership - this isn''t a heads-down processing role, it''s a thinking accountant position with genuine impact Team leadership on the horizon - you''ll grow into managing 2-3 reports A business in motion - process improvement, transformation and streamlining are active priorities, not future plans ASX-listed, financially strong, and growing through acquisition Hybrid role with Tuesdays and Fridays Work From Home *Agency applications will not be accepted.
