Rural GP / GP-ED Opportunity South Australia Excellent accommodation provided suitable for solo doctors or families, pets welcome Ongoing work ASAP through to December with strong continuity and flexible blocks Very low ED volume (approx. 3 presentations per day) in a small, well-supported district Small district | Low presentations | Approx. 200km from Adelaide An excellent opportunity is available for a Rural Generalist or GP-ED doctor to support a small, well-run health district in regional South Australia, servicing a combined population of just under 2,000. This role suits doctors seeking low acuity emergency work, a manageable clinic load, and strong continuity of care across hospital, clinic, and aged care settings. Hospital Facilities 14 acute beds in total 21 aged care rooms Low-volume Emergency Departments Approx. 3 ED presentations per day across both sites Mix of acute, inpatient, and residential aged care patients Calm, predictable workload with strong nursing support GP Clinics 4 consulting rooms across the district Supported by experienced practice nurses Clinics open 34 days per week 15minute standard appointments 4 patients per hour, with one slot per hour reserved for emergency presentations and hospital/ward followups Daily Routine Morning ward rounds prior to clinic: Site 1: 8:30am Site 2: 9:00am Clinic hours: 9:00am 5:00pm or 9:30am 5:00pm 1hour lunch break The oncall doctor is responsible for any admitted patients and required to review patients daily OnCall and Weekend Coverage Weekends are typically covered by a locum doctor when contracted for the full 7day period Local salaried doctors assist with weekend coverage approximately once per month Sustainable, shared oncall model Accommodation Provided Onsite GP house 3bedroom family home Fenced yard and 2car garage Suitable for families and pets Onsite locum flat Selfcontained 1bedroom unit with shared laundry Offsite unit (approximately 2km from the hospital) Selfcontained 2bedroom unit Singlecar garage and fenced yard Suitable for families and pets Why This Role Very low ED volume True community medicine with variety across hospital, clinic, and aged care Flexible blocks or longerterm options Strong accommodation options for solo doctors or families Exclusive opportunity not advertised elsewhere Please reach out to me directly for further details on these exclusive sites.
