OverviewLower South West Fire and Emergency Support Unit Bridgetown WACommunity Engagement Facilitator volunteers play a vital role in helping to ensure their local community is safe by promoting key messages about understanding risk, preparing for hazards and staying safe during emergencies. As a Community Engagement Facilitator, you will play an important part in collaborating with stakeholders and promoting preparedness activities to help your community stay safe. Youll also have the opportunity to apply your communication skills in the emergency management environment.ResponsibilitiesPromote community preparedness and resilience using DFES resources and key messagesAct as a point of contact for enquiries from the community to the unit and create relationships with your local emergency servicesRepresent the unit at community events and engagementsAssist with the promotion of emergency services engagement with community groupsVolunteer benefitsOngoing training with experienced trainersSupport, guidance and mentoring from experienced unit membersAccess to DFES Wellness Branch (Peer Support Officers, counselling, and chaplain services)Learning new skillsMeeting new people and enjoying the company of like-minded team membersContributing to the safety of your local communityCategoryEmergency ResponseCommitmentRegular more than 6 monthsType Of WorkSafety & Emergency ServicesTime RequiredApproximately 4 hours per monthTrainingAll training will be providedBe careful - Dont provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs.
