About the Opportunity The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will lead a team of engineers to develop and deliver the Infrastructure Functional Requirements (IFR) for the nuclear and maritime facilities to be delivered as part of the SSNAUKUS Submarine Construction Yard (SCY) in Osborne, SA. Working closely with Australian Naval Infrastructure (ANI), the Senior Infrastructure Engineer ensures the IFR is integrated into the SCYs design and construction and oversees assurance activities to verify accurate translation of requirements into the final, fitforpurpose facility. Responsibilities Lead internal and external stakeholder engagements to capture operational needs and translate them into Infrastructure Functional Requirements (IFR) for the SSNAUKUS Submarine Construction Yard. Develop and deliver functional requirements for all designated facilities to enable an efficient, fitforpurpose submarine construction environment. Provide technical leadership and mentoring to the multidisciplinary Infrastructure Engineering Team, building capability across less experienced engineers. Contribute to schedule development, governance documentation, and configuration management processes using a Systems Engineering approach. Implement engineering tools (e.g., AutoCAD, DOORS) and develop templates and toolsets to support efficient scope management and technical documentation delivery. Develop and execute assurance procedures, including verification, validation, design reviews, and site inspections across design and construction stages. Provide practical, riskbalanced technical advice to internal and external stakeholders on infrastructure solutions aligned with program cost, schedule, and capability requirements. Support risk and opportunity management activities to address challenges in delivering complex submarine shipyard infrastructure. About you Degree in Engineering with eligibility for membership of Engineers Australia (MIEAust) or equivalent professional body. Demonstrated experience managing and delivering technical projects in industrial manufacturing or construction, with experience in infrastructure design and construction project management; Defence shipbuilding experience highly regarded. Proven ability to project manage infrastructure or equipment projects across design, procurement, installation, and commissioning stages. Strong leadership skills with experience guiding multidisciplinary technical teams in complex industrial settings. Knowledge of Systems Engineering principles, requirements management, and configuration/change control processes. Proficiency in engineering toolsets (e.g., AutoCAD, DOORS) and intermediate MS Office skills. Demonstrated capability in project management disciplines including scope, schedule, cost, and risk management. International Traffic in Arms (ITAR) Regulations compliance. This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance (Negative Vetting Level 1).
