Border Express is on the lookout for an experienced and safetyconscious MC Driver to join our growing team at our Perth Airport depot. This position plays an integral part in the safe, efficient and effective movement of freight to achieve the delivery promise that we have made to our customers. PLEASE NOTE: This is a local metro driving position and Tug driving role. Not interstate. Responsibilities Deliver local bulk freight and pickups around metropolitan Perth. Operate single and double trailer combinations. Tug driving moving trailers around the depot for loading and unloading. Act as the face of Border Express on the road with frequent customer interaction. Use time efficiently for clear runs with dispatch support. Ensure all freight is delivered on time, in full and with no damage. Reverse park MC and HC trailers into docks and allocated bays. Work closely with the warehouse and operations teams to ensure smooth overnight freight processing. Additional Duties (Both Roles) Verify all paperwork is completed accurately and obtain realtime signatures at all times. Adhere to all relevant laws and legislation, including load restraint guides, DG codes, fatigue management legislation, road laws and council regulations. Undertake safe and effective loading, unloading and movement of freight in accordance with company and statutory guidelines. Qualifications & Experience Current MC licence with a minimum of 2 years of experience. Experience in multi pickup/dropoff operations. Confidence operating both single and multicombination trailers. Good reversing skills and experience working in a depot or yard environment. Current forklift licence (advantage). Prior experience driving a tug (advantage). Strong commitment to safety, compliance, and reliability. Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and be punctual and professional. Flexibility in work approach, strong team and work ethic, and willingness to participate in the company training scheme. As a job applicant, your security is our priority.
