Leading Hand - Senior Agricultural Equipment Assembler Waringa Distributionis a rapidly growing business that imports, assembles and distributes a range of short line Agricultural machinery products across Australia and New Zealand. Waringa prides itself on producing high quality farming equipment backed by great service and support. We are a familyowned business (we also have farming and aviation operations near Geraldton) that has excellent workshop and office facilities in Welshpool (as well as workshops on the East Coast), with a great team environment and culture. We are currently looking for a mechanically minded, enthusiastic Leading Hand / Senior Assembler to join our team in Welshpool. Key Responsibilities Working closely with our Workshop Supervisor, this is a handson role where you will lead the workshop team in all aspects of unpacking shipping containers, assembly, and preparation of agricultural machinery ready for delivery to our dealer network and customers. You will be focused on quality assembly results, guiding the team to foster efficiency and safety within the process. Decision making and reporting in this context will be a part of this role. Work to the high quality standards & requirements set by our manufacturers. Assist with warranty repairs and machine upgrades as required. Skills and Experience High level of mechanical aptitude, with a demonstrated history of leading teams in handson, assembly based roles. Basic mechanical diagnostics and hydraulic / auto electrical capabilities, together with strong attention to detail. Ability to prioritise tasks and follow OHS processes and standards. Forklift (LF) license is essential. Dogging (DR) & Rigging (RB) experience will be well regarded, but we will also provide training to qualify team members as required. Currently hold at least a C Class drivers license. Some experience in the Agriculture Industry would be helpful, but more important will be practical skills in assembling equipment or machinery. Similarly, experience in welding/fabrication roles or painting/touch up/detailing will also be well regarded. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with team members. Must have permanent Australian work rights or valid working visa with full longterm working rights.
