Medical Administration / Medical Receptionist Part-time (23 days per week) or Full-time | Adelaide Specialists on Hutt is a growing multidisciplinary specialist medical practice committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. We are seeking an experienced Senior Medical Receptionist / Senior Medical Administrator to join our professional and supportive team. This is a key role within the practice and would suit someone confident in a busy specialist environment who enjoys responsibility and autonomy. We are open to either two part-time candidates (23 days per week) or one full-time candidate, depending on experience and fit. About the role This senior front-of-house and administrative role plays an important part in the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice. You will work closely with specialists, management, and the reception team to ensure efficient workflows and an excellent patient experience. Key responsibilities Oversee daily reception and administrative operations Meet and greet patients in a professional and compassionate manner Manage patient enquiries in person, by phone, and electronically Coordinate consulting and theatre appointments Liaise with specialists, hospitals, and allied health providers Patient invoicing and receipting (outpatients and inpatients) Support billing processes including Medicare, DVA, Workers Compensation, Third Party and private health funds (Eclipse) Monitor office and reception consumables for the Practice Manager Assist with financial administration and reporting Support and guide the reception team as required Contribute to improving administrative processes and patient flow Skills & experience Previous experience as a medical receptionist, ideally in specialist rooms Strong understanding of medical practice operations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment High attention to detail and strong organisational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Experience with medical billing systems Familiarity with Gentu (preferred but not essential) Sound knowledge of medical ethics and patient privacy Requirements Knowledge of Medicare, DVA, Workers Compensation, Third Party and private health fund billing Current National Police Certificate Australian residency with full working rights What we offer Flexible employment options (part-time or full-time) Supportive and professional team environment Varied and responsible senior role Opportunity to work in a well #J-18808-Ljbffr
