Job Title: Head of Restoration and Farming Location: Turner Collective Office: 275 Grey St, Southbank Turner Family Foundation, Our mission is to restore and revitalize these lands while maintaining a focus on responsible farming and conservation. As a group we own and manage three large land parcels in Southeast Queensland, totalling over 8,000 hectares, with over 5,500 Ha of the land designated nature refuge. We are part of the Turner Collective which runs the Scenic Rim Trail, Hidden Vale Adventure Park as well as large stake ownership in LNDR, 99 Bikes and Flight Centre. Position Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Restoration and Farming to lead our efforts in Southeast Queensland. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of land management, ecological restoration, sustainable farming, native wildlife and ecosystem management across our two main 4,000ha properties near Brisbane, plus other smaller parcels. As part of our group we have several ecotourism businesses you will connect with including the Scenic Rim Trail, Spicers Hidden Vale Retreat, Hidden Vale Adventure Park and more. Key Responsibilities Land Restoration and Wildlife Conservation: Implement comprehensive land restoration and wildlife project plans for each property. Identify, prioritise and plan project areas for additional ecological restoration. Monitor and manage invasive species to protect native flora and fauna. Collaborate with environmental experts and organisations to ensure best practice. Sustainable Farming Operations: Oversee agricultural operations, including livestock and pasture management. Implement efficient and environmentally friendly farming techniques. Identify and deliver operational and financial efficiencies for the farming operation. Team Leadership and Management: Build and lead a highperforming team, currently 8 FTE plus casuals. Provide guidance, training and mentorship to staff to enhance their skills and knowledge. Budget and Resource Management: Develop and manage budgets for land restoration, wildlife projects and farming operations. Optimise resource allocation to maximise efficiency and effectiveness. Procure necessary equipment, supplies and services in a costeffective manner. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with local communities, various property stakeholders, government, local NRM groups and environmental organisations. Represent the company in discussions related to land management and conservation efforts. Attributes Required Proven achievements academically and professionally. Previous success in leadership of land restoration, farming, wildlife and ecosystem management. Strategic planning and implementation of longterm plans with multiple stakeholders. Strong understanding of local environmental regulations and sustainable farming practices. Ability to navigate government regulation and secure government grants, including biodiversity credits. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Budget management and financial acumen. Competitive salary commensurate with experience. $130,000 to $170,000 plus super per annum.
