The Role Alumni Global is proud to partner with Childrens Health Queensland in the search for an accomplished and forwardthinking nursing leader to join its executive team as Executive Director Nursing Services. This is a senior statewide paediatric nursing role with significant visibility and influence across the healthcare system. Reporting to the Health Service Chief Executive, the Executive Director Nursing Services holds overarching accountability for the leadership, strategy and performance of nursing across both hospital and community settings. The role serves as the principal authority on paediatric nursing models of care, clinical standards and workforce capability, while also acting as a trusted advisor to Queensland Health and government on nursing and paediatric care priorities. Operating within a threepillar environment encompassing clinical care, academia and research, the role is uniquely positioned to drive integration across these domains. As part of a cohesive executive team, the Executive Director Nursing Services will contribute to organisational strategy while strengthening alignment between service delivery, research translation and workforce development. Key Responsibilities Provide statewide leadership and professional accountability for Nursing Services across CHQ Shape and evolve contemporary paediatric nursing models of care across hospital and community settings Lead the development and execution of nursing workforce strategy, including capability, succession and workforce sustainability Integrate research, education, data and evidencebased practice into clinical service delivery Partner with executive, government and academic stakeholders to influence paediatric care and policy directions Lead, mentor and develop a cohort of senior nursing leaders to deliver highquality, safe and efficient services Strengthen governance, risk management, safety and performance frameworks across Nursing Services Foster a collaborative, inclusive and highperforming culture aligned with CHQ values and strategic priorities About You You are a highly credible and contemporary nursing leader with a deep commitment to paediatric healthcare and a demonstrated ability to operate at executive and system level. You bring a strong track record in leading complex healthcare services and are recognised for your ability to influence, collaborate and deliver meaningful change. Your experience includes senior nursing leadership roles within complex environments, where you have contributed to clinical excellence, workforce development and service innovation. You are comfortable engaging with executive and government stakeholders and bring the presence and judgement required to operate effectively at a statewide level. You are also motivated by the opportunity to build and strengthen highperforming teams, and you bring a clear orientation towards evidencebased practice, research integration and academic partnership.
