The Graphic Designer will play a key role in the development and production of creative graphic assets for Mens Rugby World Cup across Australia in 2027 (RWC 2027). This position will be responsible for bringing to life assets and creative materials that are specific to the Tournament across all areas of the business. This role will be a key member of the Marketing and Communications team, and the ideal role for a creative who thrives on challenges, has a strong passion for design and driving business success, performs well in a team environment and is always thinking of fresh creative ideas. About the role Work closely with the World Rugby (WR) Global Marketing, Brand and Content teams and LOC teams to roll out branded assets required Application of brand assets for Mens Rugby World Cup 2027 including social, CRM, PR/editorial, outdoor and earned media across Tournament campaign, and other assets as required Support the production of localised assets for host cities and venues for them to use across their promotional activity Support the development of the assets of the Tournament look and feel across venues, non match venues, team bases, conferences etc. Support brand standards for all the RWC 2027 functional areas to ensure consistent and professional positioning of RWC 2027 and its brand portfolio Support work to create further brand guidelines and principles to ensure users of Mens Rugby World Cup 2027 can work with the brand and to protect their integrity Assist the LOC team to develop high standard presentations and publications to ensure a consistent look Build strong relationships with key stakeholders within the LOC and also at World Rugby Ensure concepts, designs and assets are delivered on time, in full and on budget Report directly to the General Manager Marketing & Communications and work very closely with the Senior Marketing Manager and Senior Media and Communications Manager in the LOC. The Graphic Designer will also work very closely with the Brand team at World Rugby. About you Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, AfterEffects, PremierePro) You have at least 5 years experience working in a similar role and understand how to apply brand guidelines Ability to understand and follow brand guidelines to create original assets for print and digital materials such as brochures, event branding, packaging and web banners Attention to visual details, ensuring brand consistency throughout various marketing projects Understanding and experience in working with brand identities Clear understanding of requirements and considerations for digital, print formats, colour spaces, and specifications Experience with both small and large format printing Ability to meet deadlines and collaborate with team members Keeping up-to-date with industry developments and trends, generating fresh concepts You have the proven ability to collaborate with colleagues to effectively deliver on mutual objectives A passion for sport and to contribute to the further growth of the game Role-models World Rugby values of Discipline, Respect, Integrity, Passion and Solidarity You are adept at working under pressure in a fast-paced environment, delivering work to deadlines and honouring commitments with a positive can-do attitude You are flexible to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on event schedules Excellent planning and organisational skills, managing multiple workstreams at once; meticulous attention to detail. RWC 2027 tournament will be a nationwide celebration of the sport, its values and Australias cities, culture and people, engaging new audiences and inspiring a new generation of fans and players. In Australia, the tournament is expected to generate $1.3B in direct visitor expenditure across Australia from more than 250,000 international visitors and inject a further $80m into the Australia economy as a result of hosting in 2027 alone. Whilst the LOC has carriage of both the 2027 and 2029 RWCs, all roles are being recruited on the basis of working to deliver 2027, with a contract end date reflective of the successful conclusion of 2027. All roles within the LOC will be reviewed at the appropriate point in time to determine whether they will be extended to cover 2029 and to suit the needs of the business at that time.
