Job Description

The Sales Director provides strategic leadership and tactical oversight for Risen Energys equipment sales division across Australia and New Zealand. The primary mission is to achieve a total sales volume of 200MW in solar components and 700MWh in energy storage systems while maintaining strict gross margin floors and capturing market share from top-tier competitors. Key Responsibilities Revenue Accountability: Deliver a projected $36.9M AUD in component revenue and over $11.35M AUD in storage gross profit. Margin Integrity: Enforce a dynamic pricing mechanism, ensuring a 10% markup on component procurement and a final comprehensive margin of 15%20% for storage products. Selective Prospecting: Pivot the team away from low-margin utilityscale tenders and toward highvalue retail and C&I opportunities. 2. Channel & Market Leadership Tier1 Competitor Displacement: Execute a strategy to capture market share from the "Top 4" suppliers by leveraging nonexclusive retail channels. Partner Ecosystem: Manage relationships with core distributors and identify new highmargin partners. Downstream Expansion: Oversee the "ToC" and installer extension strategy, modeling the approach after industry leaders like Tesla. 3. Team Leadership & Efficiency Organizational Growth: Lead the recruitment and development of 23 regional sales managers and 2 technical support engineers . Performance Benchmarking: Ensure the sales organization meets strict efficiency standards. HQ Coordination: Serve as the primary liaison with China HQ for weekly/monthly cost updates and product supply synchronization. Requirements Executive Experience: 10+ years of sales leadership in the Australian renewable energy or power electronics sector. Strategic Vision: Ability to design and implement complex channel strategies that avoid "price wars" in favor of valuebased selling. Analytical Prowess: Strong ability to manage P&L, rebate structures, and dynamic pricing models.
