St Peters, New South Wales Full-time About The Role The Coordinator Parks Asset Planning leads the strategic planning and management of Councils parks, open space, sport and recreation assets, ensuring they are safe, sustainable and meet the evolving needs of the Inner West community. The role leads a small specialist team and works closely with colleagues across Council to optimise asset performance, guide investment decisions and plan for future infrastructure demands. The position plays a critical role in balancing technical excellence, financial stewardship, community expectations and environmental sustainability. The Coordinator provides expert advice on asset management strategies, oversees renewal and maintenance programs and leads the development and review of parks asset management plans. Using data-driven insights, the role prioritises projects, manages budgets, and supports the delivery of capital works that enhance public spaces and community outcomes. A key part of the role involves collaborating with internal stakeholders, consultants and contractors, as well as engaging with community members and external agencies. The Coordinator champions high-quality customer service, continuous improvement and innovative, sustainable practices, while ensuring compliance with legislative, safety and governance requirements. Remuneration 117,368.68 - 132,135.64 AUD + Civil Liability Allowance (if eligible) + 12% Superannuation + Access to Motor Vehicle Leaseback Scheme Some Of The Required Skills, Experience And Qualifications Relevant degree in engineering or asset management. Significant experience in asset management functions relating to Parks, Open space, sport and recreation assets. Demonstrated ability to manage a customer focused team, skilled in preparing technical briefs and reports, business cases, capital work programs. Understanding of or experience with the Australian Business Excellence framework or experience in development and execution of improvement initiatives or continuous improvement. Knowledge of and commitment to equity and diversity principles, work health and safety and ethical practice. Current NSW Class C Drivers Licence.
