This provides our engineers with exposure to complex, large-scale work and the opportunity to contribute directly to projects shaping Australias future grid.With national panel agreements in place with Transgrid and as the maintenance and service provider for ElectraNet, we are continuing to expand our transmission capability across Australia.We are now seeking a Principal Transmission Lines Engineer to play a key role in this growth: leading the design and delivery of complex high-voltage transmission infrastructure and shaping the capability of our engineering function.This is a role where you will operate at multiple levels, delivering technically robust designs, influencing project outcomes, and mentoring the next generation of engineers within a collaborative, high-performing team.Day to day you will:Lead the design and delivery of overhead transmission line projects across regulated and renewable infrastructureProvide technical leadership and act as a subject matter expert across transmission line engineeringOversee route selection, structure spotting and advanced PLS-CADD modellingDrive engineering outcomes across structure and foundation design, including lattice towers, poles and H-frame systemsSupport constructability and delivery through construction engineering, load assessments and site engagementEngage directly with clients and stakeholders, contributing to project success from concept through to deliveryMentor and develop engineers, building capability across the teamContribute to bidding, estimating and project strategy for major infrastructure opportunitiesAbout youYou are an experienced transmission engineer who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges and influencing outcomes across both design and delivery.You bring a balance of technical expertise, practical engineering judgement and the ability to work collaboratively with clients, project teams and stakeholders.You will have:~10+ years experience in transmission line engineering (design and/or delivery)Strong capability in overhead line design, including PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole and PLS-TowerExperience across route selection, structure design and construction supportUnderstanding of transmission design, construction and maintenance practicesAbility to contribute across the full project lifecycle from concept through to deliveryStrong communication and stakeholder engagement skillsDegree in Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering (CPEng or working towards is desirable)Work on nationally significant transmission and renewable energy projectsBe part of a growing engineering team shaping Australias future gridInfluence both design outcomes and project delivery strategiesCollaborate with experienced engineers and industry professionalsGrow your career as our project pipeline and national capability expandsFlexible working arrangements that support balance and productivityAbout usThe work behind the networkWhen you join Enerven, you are working for a team guided by its core values of dependability, proactiveness and collaboration.A skilled and diverse workforceOur broad industry skillset enables us to meet complex challenges with agility and expertise.
