Hancock Energy has a Max-Term contract opportunity until Dec 2029 opportunity for an Early works NPI Coordinator to join a growing Projects team supporting onshore Oil and Gas projects throughout Western Australia. The NPI Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all activities associated with both the design, contract development, manufacture and build of Non-Process Infrastructure at the CPF site specifically across the installation of buildings, workshops, administration building including central control room design and fit out. Provide support to other construction activities of the Gas Project, through from FEED, detail engineering, construction execution, commissioning and start up into operations. Key responsibilities: Provide support to the construction manager in the implementation of any works that can be deemed early works Work with the nominated construction contractor on whether works associated with the execution phase can be brough forward to derisk the schedule where appliable. Coordinate with the projects construction team to carry out internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives to safeguard compliance, reduce risk and drive performance excellence. Coordinate the NPI packages and interfacing engineering risk controls Monitor procurement, contract and implementation progress costs against budget Analyse and recommend corrective necessary actions to meet projects early works deliverables. Ensure both internal and external owner requirements for early works construction and fabrication is met with the provision of a professional and competent systems and processes Provide daily construction information to the Construction Manager for Daily Construction reports. Coordination of all preliminary reviews for early construction to ensure the project can meets its obligation to all stakeholders Provide support in the development and coordination construction scope including the implementation of associated specifications, constructability reviews and other key engineering project requirements. Support the construction manager with project construction resourcing (internal and external) for effective timely delivery. Provide input in selection of the projects procurement strategy, selection of suitable works and contractors to award project contracts and work packages. Compilation of the technical specifications and SOW documents within the tenders. Provide technical input in tender evaluation to drive optimum value and performance basis. Conformance to established good industry construction practices. Coordinate with contractors, other project vendors and services suppliers Assist the Construction Manager in the efficient and timely construction of the works in accordance with the project schedule. Assist with construction execution of all contracts within the project and as defined in the Scope of Work, all site construction aspects of the Scope, including HS&E, progress, cost management and quality conformance. The coordination of onsite works and activities within their area of control. Responsible for the supervision of all contractors within their area of control, including the monitoring of compliance with HSE and QA/QC processes and industry best practice. Attend contractors morning pre-starts and provide meaningful input including updates on other project activities, feedback to the wider group regarding previous shift, HSE focus topics. Provide the contractor(s) with a direct point of contact to the Project Management Team. Generate, monitor, and close out permits where required with the HSE Advisor for the scope including but not limited to confined space, clearance to work, hot works, working at height and excavation. Coordinate with the project controls group activities including cost and schedule reporting as well as review and approval of invoices, negotiation of fees and contract sums (in conjunction with project procurement specialists) Maintain effective document control process and management within the construction team Provide where possible cost-effective delivery options within the approved BGP project framework As part of the Project Delivery Team, effectively and efficiently coordinate project construction development and delivery by controlling Capex project costs versus budget and monthly reporting and identifying opportunities for cost minimisation and value add. Experience needed: Minimum of 10 years engineering & construction experience, preferably including major Oil and Gas Projects Design Skills and knowledge Expert knowledge of Australian standards & industry codes. Knowledge of Australian construction industry specifications, practices, legislation, codes and Australian standards Strong knowledge of Construction programs associated with Completion Management Systems (CMS) Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise mature judgement MS Project and/or Primavera Good knowledge of construction management and application to major projects Motivated and driven, good time management and adherence to agreed schedules and timeframes A strong work ethic, self-starter and ability to relate well to both work colleagues within a team environment and external parties.
