At Youthmix, we are building a community where every young person has the resources, opportunities, and support to achieve their career goals.Role OverviewAs a Youthmix mentor, you will be responsible for providing guidance, support, and encouragement to young people as they navigate their career paths. You will work closely with your mentees to help them set goals, develop skills, explore career options, and overcome challenges. Your role will involve building positive relationships, offering constructive feedback, and connecting mentees with relevant resources.ResponsibilitiesBuild trusting and supportive relationships with assigned menteesAssist mentees in setting realistic career goals and developing action plans to achieve themProvide guidance and advice on career exploration, educational opportunities, and skill developmentOffer constructive feedback and encouragement to help mentees overcome obstacles and stay motivatedConnect mentees with relevant resources, networks, and opportunities in their chosen fieldMaintain regular communication with mentees to track progress and address any concerns or issues that ariseQualificationsPassion for working with young people and helping them succeedExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsEmpathy, patience, and a nonjudgmental attitudeAbility to listen actively and provide constructive feedbackPossess a minimum of one year work experience or morePrevious mentoring or coaching experience is preferred but not requiredCommitment to upholding Youthmix''s values of Team, Humility, Resilient, Inspire, Vision, and EmpowerTime CommitmentYour time commitment can be as much or as little as you and the mentee agree upon.
