This is a physically demanding role, requiring considerable strength, coordination, and manual dexterity in order to complete the jobs. Candidates must possess the required technical skills, such as the ability to weld and work with a variety of tools.About the RolePrimary duties will be to work in the workshop, fabricating, cleaning and rebuilding equipment.Boiler making and testing upon completionReading and understanding of mechanical and workshop drawings/blueprintsCasting, cutting, shaping, assembling and welding steel to construct and repair metal products/structuresCompletion of jobs in a quick, efficient and accurate manner with a high attention to detail, consistently meeting deadlinesPerform general tool and equipment maintenanceMaintain a clean and organized work areaMeet quality standards, checking for defects at all stages of productionFlexibility to perform other duties within the manufacturing environment, alongside manual work, when requiredContinuous stocktaking and reporting to the supervisor on a daily basisEngage in staff prestart, toolbox, and safety meetings; while closely following safety procedures and accidentpreventative behavioursAbout YouTo be successful in this position you will require the following skills/experience:Fully Qualified Boiler MakerAt least 3 years trade experienceExperience with mild steel, stainless and aluminium, mobile plant, industrial machinery, welding, oxycutting, assembly and mechanical componentsAble to work in a team environmentOwn reliable transport to onsite locations around the ACTPossess a current forklift licenceCertifications beneficial but not mandatory: asbestos awareness and any highrisk accreditationConstruction jobs in New South Wales #J-18808-Ljbffr
