Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, filling, and masking as required.Mix and match paint colours to ensure an accurate finish.Apply primers, basecoats, and clearcoats using spray painting equipment in spray booths.Our client, Gunnedah Smash Repairs is a well-established smash repair business, committed to high quality workmanship, prompt service and customer satisfaction. They specialise in vehicle body repairs, spray painting, panel beating and full refinishing for a wide variety of vehicles. They are currently seeking for a skilled Vehicle Painter to join their team.Duties & ResponsibilitiesPrepare vehicle surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, filling, and masking as required.Mix and match paint colours to ensure an accurate finish.Apply primers, basecoats, and clearcoats using spray painting equipment in spray booths.Conduct touch-ups and refinishing as needed.Inspect finished work to ensure high quality and compliance with specifications.Maintain and clean tools, spray guns, and equipment.Follow occupational health and safety procedures and use PPE appropriately.Collaborate with panel beaters and other workshop staff to ensure smooth workflow.Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.Skills & Experience Requiredatleast 3 years of relevant experienceStrong skills in colour matching and paint mixing.Proficient in spray gun application and knowledge of various paint types and finishes.Excellent sanding, masking, and surface preparation techniques.High attention to detail with the ability to deliver quality finishes.Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.Stay Safe While Job HuntingWe vet all employer accounts and do our best to keep job ads safe, but scams can still occur.
